HYDROGEN

About us

Hydrogen as an energy carrier offers the possibility of establishing a global and local CO2-neutral energy economy. The Hydrogen Clusters4Future bundle already existing expertise in the field of hydrogen technologies in and around Aachen with actors from Industry, Science and Society. All while considering the entire hydrogen life cycle – from production to storage and distribution to use

— OUR GOALS —

The goal of the Cluster is to network regional, national and international players from Economy, Science and Society in the joint project and to use the combined competencies to transfer hydrogen technologies from research and development to real world application.

— OUR NETWORK —

The Aachen and the Rhine-region offer optimal conditions for the establishment of the Hydrogen Clusters4Future. From a technological perspective, the research partners RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich cover the entire value chain from hydrogen production, storage and distribution to utilization and the development of hydrogen technologies achieving market maturity.

— OUR VISION —

An international hydrogen-based economy, using exclusively renewable energy to satisfy the energy needs of different sectors as well as the production of hydrogen-based materials for energy storage, production of alternative fuels as well as basic chemicals.

The Hydrogen Clusters4Future pursue the ambitious goal of utilizing and strengthening networks and creating a model region for the production, distribution, storage and use of hydrogen under the umbrella of: „Hydrogen Technologies Made in Germany“ standing  for innovative and cutting-edge technologies worldwide.
